Mac
macOS 12 or newer, Intel or Apple silicon.
macOS will say “Apple could not verify this app.” That is normal for anything not sold through the App Store. Press Done, then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, and press Open Anyway. Once only.
Windows
Windows 10 or newer.
If a blue “Windows protected your PC” box appears, press More info then Run anyway.
Linux
Any modern desktop distribution.
Mark it executable if your desktop asks, then open it.
On your phone or tablet
There is nothing separate to install. Open SM Crawler on your computer, press the 📱 button, and scan the code with your phone. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like any other app — iPhone, iPad and Android alike.
What happens when you open it
It installs itself, starts its engine in the background, adds SM Crawler, SM Crawler Setup and SM Crawler Guide to your applications, and opens Setup so you can connect your accounts.
The Guide is a separate window that talks you through each connection one step at a time and waits for you before moving on.
