How it works
SM Crawler runs on your own computer — not on ours. It starts by itself, sits quietly in the background, and opens in your browser like any other app. On your phone or tablet you reach the same thing by scanning a code.
Because it runs on your machine, your passwords and your messages stay on your machine. We never see them, and there is no account to create with us.

Some platforms limit what any app is allowed to read. Where that happens, SM Crawler says so plainly rather than pretending. No app can reach into someone else’s personal WhatsApp — that is WhatsApp’s rule, not ours. Your own personal WhatsApp is different: SM Crawler can read it by linking itself to your phone as a device, exactly the way WhatsApp Web does, and only for as long as you leave it linked.
Facebook and Instagram, personally
Business accounts connect straight to Meta. Personal Facebook and Instagram are different: no app, ours included, is allowed to read a personal timeline or a personal inbox through Meta’s interfaces. So for those two SM Crawler ships small browser add-ons instead. They read the Facebook notifications page and the Instagram inbox you are already signed in to, in your own browser, and pass what they find to the copy of SM Crawler running on your machine.
They hold no password, they work only while you are signed in yourself, they send nothing anywhere else, and you can remove them from your browser at any moment.
